1.0 REQUIREMENTS

- A Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or similar working experience of 1-3 years.

- Demonstrable experience as an Application Support Engineer in a related field.

- Good knowledge using T-SQL and Database management.

- Must have the following coding languages: C# and JavaScript.

- Other coding languages would be advantages i.e. Angular and/or VB.Net.

- Ability to document configuration changes and monitor performance.

- Exceptional ability to provide front end support to internal departments and web-based clients.

- Proficiency in determining the causes of application errors and repairing them.

- Ability to keep up with innovation in application design.

- Exceptional communication skills.

 

2.0 RESPONSIBILITIES

- Providing software application support under the supervision of your Technical Team Lead (TL).

- Performing analyses on software application functionality and suggesting improvements.

- Ensuring effective front end and back end functionality of applications.

- Consulting with the software development team, internal users, and clients to improve application performance.

- Follow proper Release Management processes across environments to ensure continued and synchronized functionality.

- Establishing the root causes of application errors and escalate serious concerns to your TL.

- Keeping a record of configuration changes and scheduling application updates.

- Providing front end support to clients and colleagues in other departments.

 

3.0 AUTOMONY

- Works under general direction.

- Uses discretion in identifying and responding to complex issues and assignments.

- Receives specific direction, accepts guidance, and has work reviewed at agreed milestones.

- Determines when issues should be escalated to a higher level.
